Review content:
I wasn't able to get a reservation except at 5 pm- made on the day of the reservation. I had to be out by 6:30, so it was a little rushed. Realizing that people who had reservations between 6:30 and 9 had made their reservations 3 to 6 weeks in advance, I was okay with that. This place is consistent on the food for sure. Don't blame service or the host, as seems in many reviews, if your mom was 15 minutes late and you made your reservation within the last 3 days and you feel rushed. Take it or leave it, you were told. You can have chain food down the street at this price. It isn't fine dining. It is great food at a great value in a fun New York style atmosphere. Try some of the more unusual things on the menu at a fraction of what you would pay elsewhere. The foie gras salad and sweet breads are fantastic. A cork fee exists to discourage you. They have a great list. Bring in a special bottle if you must, but don't try to be cheap and expect them to say it is no big deal. They mark up wine less than most places.
