I have seen Nancy Daniels for 5 years. Last week I received a ""dear john"" letter in the mail giving NO EXPLAINATION as to why she would no longer see me. I was molested for 8 years as a child, and at the age of 26 took my abuser to court. I went to her office to seek mental help and medication. She saw me extensively and checked meds listened to my story, offered advice, etc... Upon my last visit as I was explaining some things that had gone on since I saw her last and was interupted and informed that my ""story is too complicated and she only wished to check my medication going forward."" I was upset (not visibly) and left her office with a realization that I should seek better treatment. Back to the ""termination"" letter I received... I called the office to get a reason and was told that everyone in the office to include the office manager were not to talk to me. I cant get a reason, and my primary care doc can't refill my vyvanse. She has been very unprofessional over the course of the last year. My condition has actually improved and my visits have been less frequent. I would consider going to Brady Green downtown before I ever go to alamo mental health. The staff treat almost all patients as if they are lucky to be getting treated at this place. I often felt as if they considered me to be stupid because I have a mental condition which by the way they cant pin down exactly what I have. .......................... ahhhhhhhhhhhhh so frustrating to be comfortable with a caregiver only to have them drop you for NO REASON!!!!! I wish this money grubbing greedy place to be shut down before it causes someone real damage!
