Review content:
Recently purchased a used toy hauler trailer from the Brownstown General Rv. Everything was fine until we sat down in the finance office. We were directed to this location from another General RV location to see this specific trailer. We are out-of-state purchasers. You would think that a company that advertises on the internet would have this process down to an art. The business manager screwed the paperwork up so badly that I had to point out a several thousand dollar error in my favor .. that was my first mistake. I should have kept my mouth shut. The deal went down hill from there. In the end, I had to come up with a larger downpayment and she hid a chunk of the difference in the sales taxes paid (I know ... I should have had my accountant and my own calculator with me). So I go to get the trailer titled here and am informed that I owe another $500 in sales taxes. This was a nightmare and I would strongly suggest that if you are purchasing an rv from General RV in Brownstown, go in with your own financing because this lady is clueless and the deal became about her tring to keep her job, not about fairness or honesty in lending. My next call is to the bank. I am not a satisfied customer.
