Go in September! Take a chair, a picnic basket and your camera late in the afternoon, leave from Estes Park and sit with everyone else to watch and listen to the elk bugle. You will love Estes Park - don't miss a guided tour of the Stanley Hotel, drive the Trail Ridge Road, and stop often just to wow at the views. We went the second week of September and it snowed and closed the road on the 14th! Take warm clothes and be aware of the altitude! Pros: Scenic, Good roads, Wildlife
