Please save yourself time, money and aggravation. Do not go to any of the Super Dentists' locations. Although the decor is lovely and there are fun things for the kids to do, you still probably don't want to ""enjoy"" the lobby for an hour do you? Well, you probably will so be prepared, because it's a long wait to actually see one of the many unskilled staff people.
Our three year old was subjected to baby talk by most the staff there. This was just annoying. What we really didn't appreciate was being told that she had seven cavities (we went in for one visible one). When I inquired in amazement that she had so many cavities-since we floss and brush her twice a day-the dentist pointed to the x-rays and said, ""don't you see them?"" I responded, ""no, those don't really look like anything to me."" They assured me they were cavities. After tying her to a board and pinning her down with her screaming and crying the whole time, they decided that she needed full sedation. This was done at Kaiser and went fine.....until the next day when we noticed that they didn't fix the one cavity we went in for. She did have a mouth full of metal from all the other supposed cavities they fixed. Needless to say we were upset that after all trauma to get her sedated at the hospital that they hadn't done all the work. When we inquired why they didn't fix the cavity we were told by Dr. Keri that it was PROBABLY because it was superficial.
Well, we just took her to a real pediatric dentist who confirmed that it is NOT superficial and needs to be taken care of. And what a surprise? Turns out the other seven that they did fix and charge us for were superficial.
I cannot stress enough how poor the service is from these dental offices. I guess they think they're pediatric dentists because they have pictures of trees and fairies on the walls and provide games and computers for the kids. I think hiring people who actually like and understand kids would be really helpful, and they may want to do quality dental work and not just inflate the bill with needless work.
Please, please, please, do not go their offices.
Pros: Decor
Cons: Everything else
