best dentist in San Diego 6/10/2010

The staff and doctors are really nice, they are a office with a steady flow of patients from what I can tell from going there but that is good news right..? Why would I want to go somewhere and the reception room is near empty, that would scare me away more than anything. I want to take my kids where they like to go and where other parents take their kids - they must be doing something right. Pros: great staff - so nice and take the time with my kids Cons: they don't see adults on the dentistry side only on ortho more

If you don't mind unnecessary work on your child, go here 5/25/2010

Please save yourself time, money and aggravation. Do not go to any of the Super Dentists' locations. Although the decor is lovely and there are fun things for the kids to do, you still probably don't want to ""enjoy"" the lobby for an hour do you? Well, you probably will so be prepared, because it's a long wait to actually see one of the many unskilled staff people. Our three year old was subjected to baby talk by most the staff there. This was just annoying. What we really didn't appreciate was being told that she had seven cavities (we went in for one visible one). When I inquired in amazement that she had so many cavities-since we floss and brush her twice a day-the dentist pointed to the x-rays and said, ""don't you see them?"" I responded, ""no, those don't really look like anything to me."" They assured me they were cavities. After tying her to a board and pinning her down with her screaming and crying the whole time, they decided that she needed full sedation. This was done at Kaiser and went fine.....until the next day when we noticed that they didn't fix the one cavity we went in for. She did have a mouth full of metal from all the other supposed cavities they fixed. Needless to say we were upset that after all trauma to get her sedated at the hospital that they hadn't done all the work. When we inquired why they didn't fix the cavity we were told by Dr. Keri that it was PROBABLY because it was superficial. Well, we just took her to a real pediatric dentist who confirmed that it is NOT superficial and needs to be taken care of. And what a surprise? Turns out the other seven that they did fix and charge us for were superficial. I cannot stress enough how poor the service is from these dental offices. I guess they think they're pediatric dentists because they have pictures of trees and fairies on the walls and provide games and computers for the kids. I think hiring people who actually like and understand kids would be really helpful, and they may want to do quality dental work and not just inflate the bill with needless work. Please, please, please, do not go their offices. Pros: Decor Cons: Everything else more

Only take your child here if you hate them 5/25/2010

Great place 2/22/2010

I live up the street from them and finally decided to go in and check out the place and it does look like the pictures! I made an appt. to see Dr. Keri for my son (which hates dentists) and I was suprised that everyone was so nice and I wish they had something like this when I was a kid. Our appt. is this week - I'll let you know how it goes :) Pros: great atmosphere Cons: dentist is for kids only more

Awesome experience 3/5/2009

We've been taking our children to Dr. Keri's office for a few years to the F Street office location and although we've always been happy with the service and Dr. Keri and other doctors there, our children have always preferred to go to their Eastlake office because of all the cool games and decoration. We just went back to their F Street office today and now this location looks even better than their Eastlake. Lots of video games, a toy store and lots of other things no one can imagine you'd find in a dental office. The only dillema we have is if we ever move, where would my kids find a place like this. Pros: Great atmosphere, wonderful dentists, awesome service more

CRAPPY 7/25/2007

I was very excited to visit Dr Keri's office. For years I have driven by the office knowing that I would take my kids there. First off, I called and made the appointment... I let them know that this was my daughter's first dental appointment ever. I was scheduled for 11:00 on a Monday. We waited over an hour to be seen. While we were waiting, a mom was complaining of waiting for over an hour for her soon to be treated. I don't mind waiting.... I'm realistic, I know that there is typically a wait at any doctor's or dentist's office. BUT, when we were finally seen... We were RUSHED through a shoddy cleaning. The hygienist was speaking to my 3 year old daughter in a completely ridiculous tone and manner... Telling her if she didn't open her mouth she couldn't have her ""oral exam..."" That is so ridiculous... Anyone could speak to her like that.. These are specialists that are supposed to be caring and patient? Then she was rushed through an even shoddier exam by the dentist. She did not even spend 5 minutes with us. I know that some children are uncooperative... I'm sure that must be extremely frustrating for the dental hygienists and assistants but I thought that was the whole reason they specialized in treating children!!! I thought that a little extra patience and sensitivity would have gone a long way. In any event, since this was my daughter's first exam, I had NO IDEA this was not standard... I was stunned when I left the office. My daughter was hysterical. I realized that we were the last ones in my office. They rushed because they wanted to take their lunch break!!!! Terrible service from terrible people! Hint: Every doctor/dentist's office has a TV in their lobby these days... that does not mean they should market themselves as ""specializing in kids..."" Also, if you have a lunch break at 12... Don't book 6 appointments at 11!!! I WILL TELL EVERYONE ABOUT MY NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE!!! Pros: Lobby appeals to kids Cons: Staff was not as sensitive, patient or caring as expected. more
