US Bank (Golf Road, Eau Claire location) is my worst banking experience! I can't believe that another review of this bank sounds so similiar to my own. I had opened a check card account at US Bank for the purpose of doing business through EBay (as a seller). The Golf Road location gave me alot of arrogance, poor customer service, and refusals to rectify an oversight. Their female branch manager could've been a fascist from hell, or a woman very unhappy with her life. Instead of assistance, I was threatened with additional fees if I followed-through on closing my account before the 90 day period. I don't know why I was given her power-trip, since in my defense I was calm, rational, and speaking with an average vocal tone. This bank manager refused to allow me to speak to someone other than herself, since I had gotten nowhere with her in resolving my account issues. Eventually, I went to the downtown Eau Claire branch to seek assistance without the hostility directed at myself. The downtown bankers were friendly, rational, and willing to resolve my concerns. Of course, I had to take a single penalty to receive a compromise with US Bank. Make sure you understand all of US Banks terms. Read all of their fine print, and ask any questions before opening an account with this institution. US Bank charges a NSF fee for the first day, and they continue to pound you daily with multiple fees until you are able to reconcile your account. The Golf Road branch were blatently incompetent in getting a notice to me about a discrepency in my account. They had an my phone number recorded incorrectly, and they waited 5 days before sending a notice to my attention. That's 5 days, plus the 2 days of postal handling. US Bank needs to keep a sharp eye on the woman running the Golf Road branch. Personally, if I were her employer I would terminate her employment for her unprofessional misconduct. Bank with RCU!
Pros: None come to mind.
Cons: This bank offers you nothing! Forget customer service! Unreasonable!
