My Macbook crashed for the first time; I knew that I would have to get another internal harddrive but I was dreading going because my friend had a hard time with her Macbook at a different store. So I squared my shoulders and prepared myself for a battle. I didn't have insurance because my AppleCare plan ran out like two months ago, so I was wondering how ghastly of a price I would have to pay. I didn't have to make an appointment (a surprise because my friend had to make an appointment at the Mac store she went to) and the person who took care of me was so nice and friendly. Originally, I was told that I would have to pay $200. I was gritting my teeth, trying to figure out how to pay that; the next day I got a phone call from Mac Authority saying that they had called Apple to see if Apple couldn't make an exception and take of this problem as if I had still had my warranty. To my great surprise, Apple agreed and my computer is now in the process of getting fixed for free!!! I didn't expect a free service and I hadn't even asked them to call Apple but they took the initiative to do so! Thank you so much!! If you have Mac problems, you should DEFINITELY go here!!!
