Review content:
I have been going to J-Town family practice since they first opened their doors, I have had several problems with their billing department over the years and they are always right no matter how bad you show them they screwed up. I kept going back because I really liked Doctor Wright but since they have gone into business with Baptist Works I think I have to find a new doctor. I had an appointment last week and when I showed up to check in I was asked to sign their (Baptist Works) new HIPPA form. I requested a copy of the form to read over and after looking around for a while they found me a copy and I started reading it. I was shocked to see that they require you to allow them to give out your personal information for fund raising and charity efforts. When i stated to them that I do not agree with this they informed me that I had to sign it if I wanted to see the doctor. They do not care any thing about their patients at all and by refusing care to their sick patients they show what their practice is all about, the all mighty dollar. I suggest that anyone who has been going there for years to refuse to give up your rights to privacy by signing a new HIPPA form. If enough people refuse, maybe the Doctors will finally let the business end of the practice know that when every thing is said and done it is supposed to be about the patients.
