I went to no less than 5 places trying to find a colorist who could master turning my brown hair into NATURAL-looking blonde tresses. I literally tried Sally Hershberger-John Frieda, Frederic Fekkai, Jonathan, Jose Eber, and one other - I kid you not... I spent over $1500 trying to get the perfect color and no one could make me blonde without making my hair brassy or a bit orange. Finally, a good friend of mine (who has fabulous hair) recommended Carl-James at the Umberto Salon on Camden - and, I was saved. Not only did he give me the most natural blonde color ever, he gave me a cut that has gotten rave reviews (even from strangers) ever since! I have sent nearly all my friends his way and they all feel exactly the same way - CJ is a hair genius!!
