Review content:
I am (just barely :)) over 50 and I have NEVER done any intentional exercise in my life. Since my life so far has been that of a hard working entrepreneur, I haven't had to worry about my weight. But as I felt my body getting weaker and my heart not feeling up to the demands of a very busy life, I knew I had to do something or just let things degrade to the grave. When I met Emily she told me many times ""this will change your life"" and ""you can do this"". I did not believe her. She is very persistent and a great salesperson (along with really knowing what she's doing) and eventually I decided to make the commitment and try this boot camp of hers. OMG! It has been incredible. Although I am certainly no athlete and by far in the worst cardio shape in the group (and might I add I am not a group person), I can't believe the changes. I thought the others in the program would be arrogant and macho (as they were in the ONE time I tried yoga at Corepower) but it's not the way it is. In the 7am class, there are all kinds of people, some more fit than others, some 'night people' as I've been my whole life and even one (that is the most endearing) that is a comedian and likes his scotch (although my drink of choice is wine). Along with feeling more energized and just happier for some reason, I'm also feeling these big shifts in my optimism. It really is amazing, it really is hard and it really can ""change your life"". I'm going to stick with it and see how far I can go. Not because I want to be all buff or want to look like a teenager but because I want to be strong and confident and an example of how it looks to age gracefully. Emily is a wonderful coach; a thoughtful person, in tune with each of us, giving individual guidance and support. Her heart is really into helping you accomplish your goals. If you've ever thought that you'd like to take that fork in the road that will lead you to a healthier, more vibrant you, this is definitely the course to kick start that journey. So if you think you're ready, come and join in. I know I'd love to see some more people that have never tried anything like this before in our group. I think now is the perfect time to make the leap. I am sure that if I can do it, you can certainly do it. Seriously, Sheila
