I must admit when Oceanaire first opened I thought it would be another upscale chain rolling into town with lots of money and attitude and little else. After much cajoling from some ""foodie"" friends I finally deigned to give them a try, and now I'm kicking myself for not going sooner.
Everything is top-notch from the jazzy decor to the well-poured specialty cocktails.... and the food! Hands down the finest and freshest seafood Indy has ever seen. From the melt in your mouth fresh oysters to the expertly prepared soft shell crab with melon salad - this is definitely one of the best meals I have had in years.
I'd be remiss not to mention the service. Our server expertly guided us through the expansive menu and wine list and showed remarkable patience with my date and her penchant for trying to re-write restaurant menus. I can't wait to return.
