Review content:
My husband and I recently visited Motorcars of Lansing searching for a car to buy for me. I found the dealership online and so we set up an appointment to meet(on a Sunday) and look at a car he thought would be a good fit for me. He was going to meet us at his home, we got there and he was not there, he was at the lot. He really tried selling me a car that I kept saying was too small. I found the next car we would test drive. He had to jump start it. He said the door was left open. Promised a 1 yr. warranty and a new battery, didn't get it. The radio didn't work, the power mirrors didn't work, and the tires needed rotated. He promised to do all the work and have it ready in the next day or two. Next day we called and the ignition switch needed to be replaced, he would have it ready the next day. We go meet him to pick it up, he said he had the car detailed(not true, it was dirty inside and out). We go to leave and the power mirror switch he was supposed to fix, fell inside my door before we even left. I get on the road and the blinkers don't work. Called him, he said it was a recall part(I couldn't find a recall for it anywhere) and he would arrange to have the part sent to a dealer closer to us to have it fixed(he only arranged for the part to be sent, my husband has to fix it). We got home and I realized that the one key he gave me didn't unlock the driver side door. He told us to buy a keyless entry remote from ebay and he would pay us back. And the day after we get it home the brakes are already grinding. My husband has to buy the brakes, install them himself and the dealer,John, says if we send him receipts, he will pay us back. I am not impressed, not happy, and I will tell everyone I know NOT to go there for anything. Not to mention, we met him about 45 mins away from my house and the car had under a quarter tank of gas and it didn't smell good. Do yourself a favor, get your car anywhere else but there.
