Really an awesome place with really cool cars. I really didnt think I would find the BMW 750 I was looking for other then a BMW dealership. I found them online after shopping the places around the Kalamazoo area. Keith was my salesperson and he helped with all the financing and sold me on a really good warranty that was pretty inexpensive for a BMW. All and all I think it is my best car buying experience for the simple fact that the nearest competitors price the $6000 more for the same car. more

Hello everyone, wanted to write a little something about my experience looking and searching for a good used vehicle. I went to many dealerships around Lansing area and finally found the car that would work for me and my price!! I pulled into Motorcars of Lansing to find some higher end vehicles, which I thought o no these cars are out of my price range? In talking to Keith in the sales office about couple of the vehicles and driving a few. I picked one out the one that would fit my needs and wants. I choose a 2009 Chevy impala ltz. This car was so nice to drive and didn't have anything thing wrong with it besides a little scuff on bumper which they took care of. I guess they have their own service and body shop which helped me decide this is the spot I'm buying my car. I purchased a warranty on the vehicle too. Which they can service if I ever need repairs in the future. I hope I don't for a while though. Right before I left I met John and he told me if I ever needed anything down the road to call him. I would recommend anyone to visit Motor cars of Lansing. more

Terrible customer service and didn't honor their certification of the car. Bought a used Prius at a decent price. It was supposed to be certified. Took it to the dealer to ensure everything was okay and got slapped with an $800 bill of maintenance that hadn't been done on the vehicle, plus a water pump that was recalled on the vehicle hadn't been replaced, plus another water pump and belt for it (another $455) that needed repair. The warranty they gave me with the car is only paying for a small part of the 2nd water pump replacement and won't even pay for the belt. more

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER 12/6/2010

I was in need of a knew car and I searched online and there company popped up. I had my eye on a 2003 Grand Am and I was REALLY interested in it..lol I called and John told me it was still available. I was doing a trade in, and lets just say, my car wasn't in the best of shape. All I had was my trade and a x amount of cash. John (owner) was so nice, I mean I never met anyone so caring and wanting to see his customers happy. He gave me the Kelly blue book value for my trade and it was worth way less. I would totally recommend Motorcars of Lansing to anyone. I was short on cash and he even dropped the price. I have never been this happy about a car. I got a really good deal. I love my knew car and it's MINE. No car payment or anything..lol They fixed a few things in it and it was ready for me within a few hours. More car lots need to operate like him. CUSTOMERS FIRST!!! I will be back in a few years to pick up me a Range Rover..lol John you ROCK!! more

Bad!! 12/6/2010

This is a retraction of my good post around a year ago! At first everything was very good and I was so happy thinking about my goof deal. Now, is the opposite. They did not honor the AC warranty and also were very rude with me. Also, the PWC extent warranty that they sell is very bad, the service is horrible and they did not cover anything that they say. Additionally, John gave as a new brakes at the moment that we bought the car, but they put a very bad quality (maybe second hand) in the car. Don't believe in this people. more

Love this car 11/9/2010

Motorcars had the car I wanted, and reduced the price from their website offer. I am by nature a very careful buyer and asked to take the car to Firestone to get checked out. John said 'go right ahead, here's the keys'. He also stated that he would fix anything that needed to be done. After finding out that it needed tires, brakes, and 3 sensors, I expected John to balk and change the price. Without hesitation, he said that I could pick it up that night for the same price. I was very impressed, and would buy from them again. John and Janet went out of their way to make this car perfect. more

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE GREAT DEALS!!! 11/9/2010

Had a great experience!! Purchased a 2009 Camry for the best price (3k less than any 2009 we could find) John the owner gave us an awesome deal! Not only did we buy a good vehicle John made sure to go over and above our expectations to make the vehicle more than satisfying and appealing. We experienced an un-pressuring atmosphere when looking at vehicles. Not like any salesman we have dealt with, John was very laid back showed us the flaws in the vehicle and explained what he was going to do to make it look brand new. We made a list of all the things we didn't like, and within a few days the car was shining and looking great.(He charged us nothing for fixing it up, he kept his word on the price he was asking) For buying a used car it looks brand NEW and I love it!! Highly recommended, you must go to Motorcars of Lansing to get the BEST DEAL and EXPERIENCE!!!! more

I LOVE IT! 2/16/2010

Last weekend I purchsaed a 02 Pontiac montana, when i took it for a test drive iknew it was the one! I looked around at other places to be sure there was anything out there that i might be interested it. When I came back to buy, that was over my price range, john worked with me to a better price that i can afford. I havent had an issues with it, and its perfect and safe enough for the family! i would definetly reccommend more

We just purchased a white 2006 Honda Pilot-Ex. The car was a few THOUSANDS below the market price. Before we purchased the car, John let us take the car to a local mechanic that we have been working with and the car was proved to be safe and reliable as John mentioned to us. John and his mechanics also went through a few minor things that we asked them to replace/fix before we made the payment. Given some of the negative reviews online, I was concerned about the place and I showed John the remarks. I can see that he cares a lot about these negative remarks and was working very hard to show us the opposite. He has been working in the field for 10 years and running good business (estimated 400 cars sold in a year). When we were there, we saw people asking him to search for specific cars, people making payments, and him trying to find cars from online auctions. I think if you want to do business with them, you need to be specific about what you want, talk it through with John, and make a list of things to help this busy man remember what your agreements are. Excellent SeRVICE! 5/7/2009

Bought a very sharp dodge charger! Received an excellent deal. The owner John who is pretty much the only one running the show showed me my car from top to bottom. AC and blinker did not work and he fixed immediately. Rims did not have a key so he ordered one. Very friendly! Gets cars cheap and sells cars cheap. Other dealers get cars cheap and sell high. Before coming up from Farmington Hils,we read the reviews and were a little skeptical but we had to see the car because around here the same vehicle with the same miles was $18450.They were asking $15900.The car was fine , the establishment was professional.I brought up the reviews and the owner John said we got out of selling vehicles under $5000 because of the issues and they showed us how many cars they sold within the timeline of these reviews-ALOT!- Over 500 for 3 bad reviews.We purchased a 2005 Acura TL and love the vehicle.I referred my brother in law a week later and he purchased a 2004 nissan quest and its the nicest van that i have ever seen.We recieved $150 and a gift certificate for the referal.Ihonestly think they are very good people.I worked with John so thats all I can speak for. WOW Where do I begin??? All I can say is if ya buy a car from this guy, be prepaired to go to court. Becasue he is the most dishonest person I have ever delt with. A WARRANTY??? Yeah right, My tranny was bad from the day I picked up the car and found out my SO CALLED WARRANTY never existed!!!! But oh, He said he sells a warranty on every car he sells. Then comes back and says "" Ill put a tranny in if you pay 300 dollars of it"". Then my window regulator breaks on my back door. My front brakes start grinding and he was suppose to put new brakes on all 4 wheel. Which he only did the backs because they were the worse. Plus he was suppose to look at a coolant leak and fix it and I was told there was no coolant leak. But why do I smell coolant everytime I run my car and have to put alittle in every couple of weeks???? Then my fog lights start falling out. I take them apart and find that the brackets that hold them in are broken and have silicon trying to hold them together. Hmmmmm my first thought was, Someone got in an accident with this car. Then I started to look into who owned the car before me. Found out it was an Insurance company that was selling it at an auction because someone got into an accident with it. The car fax they gave me showed no claims filed for that car. But somehow it just slipped thru the car fax. And motorcars bought it and rigged it together to make it look presentable. Alot of the screws in the front end of the car were missing like screws for the radiator and for the hood latch and bracket. Nothing was holding the condenser coil for the A/C. And found the front light bracket broken and flopping around when I drove. And wait there is more, When I put 1800 dollars down on the car, They only put down 901 dollars down on the finance companys paperwork. Hmmmm now isnt that odd?????? They will scam you high and dry of even your money. PLEASE AVOID THIS DEALER, WORD WILL GET AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THIS ISNT THE HALF OF IT. THANKS JOHN!!! NOT!!!! Don't trust them new N!&&@5 over there! (boondocks reference) jokes aside, they reek... hella lot 2/21/2008

They had a week to bring the car up to snuff... i wasn't askin for much ya know get a wheel alignment here, new battery there, maybe fix the speedometer to make it, well... SAFE TO DRIVE anyway i read reviews on this place prior to doing business w/ them and i was already dismissive to their empty promises i didnt care about what the say there gonna do only what i see if they did it or not. All that i saw was that they gave the battery a boost and said they put a new one in. Now im no expert, im barely a novice, but i clearly saw the battery was old and the bolts that held the wires down to the battery was rusted over and obviously that shows that it never even been removed, tampered with, etc. I just got my deposit back and kept moving. what a waste of my time and theirs... to MOTOR CARS of LANSING a little advice; if you want to sell a car that has a major problem like broken speedometers or grinding brake pads or other things of that nature... FIX THEM so you wont have to wait on that rare blue moon occasion for some naive unsuspecting customer to prey on their hard earned cash because for every 1 of those people are 10000 skeptics who look for promises to be kept. Showing a speedometer sensor on ebay for sale wont win ppl over; buying it and actually fixing it will. that way when some1 comes a long they will be like, |START sarcasm| ""Hey,this speedometer works great!"" |END sarcasm| Pros: I don't think they even know what their pros are Cons: Theres not enough room to fill this one out. more
