Don't give up on finding King James BBQ! Located in the middle of an industrial area, this ""north woods"" looking establishment is a great find.
The staff and customers are ""down-to-earth"" real people. Warm, friendly and certainly not impressed with themselves.
Try the pulled pork for a good sampling of the quality their BBQ entrees offer. Excellent flavor. They just DON'T slap on sauce and call BBQ! Their coleslaw is great, and the baked beans have flavor with a little extra kick too! Did we mention the fries? Crisp, warm and obviously done to order.
The restaurant is cozy, the salad and soup bar are great, and the Friday Night Beer battered Haddock will make you come back for more.
Finally . . . and try to keep this a secret from the staff....the prices for the beer and drinks are actually reasonable.
King James BBQ is a real find.
Pros: BBQ done right, friendly staff, fun atmosphere
Cons: off the beaten track
