First off, this is the first review I've EVER written for a retail store. Every bad review you see here is completely correct. Any good reviews are either from the employees themselves or from someone who lucked out.
I'm beyond appalled and shocked at this point so I won't make this too long. Just suffice it to say that I ordered glasses 6 weeks ago, and it took them 4 weeks to get them in (when they told me it would take less than a week). When they finally did come in, the frames were bent. So they had fix them but WAIT! The guy that was in charge of that was on vacation for another WEEK! And it turns out they couldn't re-order them because they had been discontinued. If I would have known that, I never would have bought them! So another two weeks passes and they finally are done. But would THEY ever call ME to let me know? Of course not, I had to call in every few days to ask if they were ready.
Today my husband and I went in to pick them up (six weeks after we had ordered them). Also, my husband was thinking about getting new glasses there when we first visited 6 weeks ago and after his exam, one of the technicians popped my husband's lens out so he could see what kind it was. In the process, he left a black mark on the edge that was visible from the front (we didn't notice it until we were home). So today, we asked if he could fix that and of course in the process of doing so he chipped the lens. Prior to this, I was already going to ask for a full or partial refund on my glasses, since they took so long. At this point, I figured they should go out of their way to refund us. Instead, the guy looks at my husband and says, ""Well, the bad news is I chipped your lens so you'll have to come back tomorrow and I should have it fixed by then"", meanwhile leaving my husband with no glasses which he needs in order to drive. Not once did he apologize. So at this point my husband was getting more angry by the minute. He approached the owner of the store and informed him of the situation. The owner was the most arrogant person I've ever encountered in my 31 years of living! He said and I quote, ""Not a chance that we are going to refund you on a pair of glasses that only cost $49.99 to begin with"". At this point, my husband got a little heated with him and the owner proceeded to get in his face (literally an inch away) and act as if he was going to push him or hit him. My husband stood his ground and said ""Go on, just hit me and see what happens"" The owner called him a ""co*ksucker and mentioned something about him having bad breath"".
Anyways, you get the point. Completely unprofessional and appalling conduct by someone who owns a business and is supposed to uphold a high level of customer service (at least that's what they claim on their site).
I'm still shaking as I'm writing this. I just wish someone would shut them down. Worst customer service experience of my entire life. Please avoid these people at all costs.
