Review content:
When you blow insulation into a vented attic, you are supposed to install baffles to keep the insulation away from soffit vents. We had our insulation work done by Atlantic Weatherization under the state rebate program. It's only a couple of years later that we've learned that they did the attic insulation wrong and blocked our soffit vents. This causes heat to build up in the attic, shortening the life of the roof and potentially causing mold damage. Thing is, the baffles are dirt cheap! I attribute the mistake to lack of training/expertise.
Pros: Did the job quickly and cheaply.
Cons: Did not install soffit baffles.
