Review content:
My husband, several friends and I recently stopped by the new Linda Bean's Perfect Maine in Delray after hearing that they were opening a restaurant here in Florida. What a treat it was to find 1st quality lobster at every day prices that we can all afford and not be limited to the rare, special meal.\r For any person who loves the charm of New England, this restaurant has achieved that feel from the slate floors with the marble compass rose, to the tin ceiling, bead board and beautiful white molding, wide open windows with counter-top eating spaces. There is something about the ambiance that is unique. The restaurant lends itself to pleasant gatherings and communication with old and new friends. The atmosphere itself is a surprise. This is not just another restaurant, but a place to go and enjoy an informal evening or afternoon. It is really clear that a lot of thought went into the design process for this restaurant.\r The food was amazing. Having visited Port Clyde in Maine in the past, my husband and I knew the lobster would be, quite simply, the finest anywhere in the world. We ordered the lobster stew and were surprised to find large pieces of the succulent lobster in the rich, creamy soup. We also ordered the trademark lobster rolls, specifically the junior size rolls since the stew is quite filling. The rolls were literally loaded with nothing but big chunks of lobster meat, some fresh herbs and a special sauce for seasoning. The lobster meat was plentiful and was falling out of the roll due to the generous portion. There were NO fillers, just top quality lobster! Top off your meal with a piece of the Maine blueberry pie. Scrumptious!
