Review content:
I too paid for appraisals on many items (more than 10) at BHJ over the past couple of years and never had not one single issue. I have also gotten pearls restrung (a set of very delicate 1950's Mikimotos that they treated extremely well), rings resized (my engagement ring, an antique diamond ring) and a number of pieces of jewelry cleaned.. all without flaw or issue. Maybe the last person who posted is confused- there is a big difference in values for sale and for insurance- maybe you got one when you really needed the other? Also, I don't see how they could possibly be cheating you- you said in your previous statement that you went to a ""gold broker"" to sell your jewelry... not BHJ... so to cheat you would imply that they would get some sort of advantage by giving you an inflated statement. It wasn't like you were trying to sell to THEM then they low-balled you. They actually did you a favor (although possibly erroneously).
