Review content:
It was a special night on the town for me and my lady. We had reservations and were dropped off a few minutes early by our driver. The restaurant was beautiful and empty. I thought great, but quickly found out that it was not so. The hostess barely greeted us, but requested we wait a few minutes. So we did. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we were seated and to my displeasure we were seated at a table without view. I did not say a word because everything I wanted to look at was seated at my table already. When our waitress came over to the table she smelt fresh from the smoking lounge. My date and I are non-smokers and found the stench unappealing. We both ordered Peach Martinis. Neither of us were able to take more than a few sips. They were awful. Salads came. Ceasar salad was ok. I prefer the Ceasar anywhere else and The Top of the Rock salad was oily, I'm not sure how, but it was not good. I had the steak Dianne. It was very good. My date had sea bass. It was too fishy and the rice was mushy and not in a good-to-eat way. Dessert was the only saving grace. Creme Brulet. It was devine. I will never go back. The service was ok if you are able to get past the cloud of smoke, and the food was just not enough boom for your buck.
Pros: dessert
Cons: service, price, food
