Bloody Fantastic !!! Dined there last night for the first time. Myself, the wife and another couple. Butternut squash soup was excellent (and vegan). I had the Carbonara Pasta. Instead of scrambled egg mixed in as it is traditionally, it had a poached egg on top. The yolk, when mixed in with the cream sauce was over the top. My wife, a vegetarian had the soup as well and a Margherita Pizza. They make it in the very traditional style....no tomato sauce. Just dough, mozzarella, tomato, basil and oil. Extremely thin and nice and crispy. It was almost like a flatbread. My buddy and his wife shared the calamari dish and said it was quite good. He had a steak (how boring...cook your steaks at home on the grill) but he said it was cooked perfectly. His wife had the Salmon and loved that it was cooked to rare in the middle. Service was efficient, but not overbearing. We got our cocktails immediately and then ordered wine by the glass after. Food came out timely. We did not order dessert. We were talking to our waitress and told her we were impressed with the place and found out it used to be a bank. The next thing we know, the manager came over and offered us a tour. The wine cellar and dining room next to it looked like it was out of San Francisco. I have to say, the other reviewers must have gone to a different restaurant than I did. However, I will come back again and again to see for myself.
