I had always been disappointed with the darkness of my family room after we added a porch room onto it over 20 years ago. Love the porch - but it sucked up all the sunlight and left that part of our house dark and cavelike. I knew we couldn't actually put in a skylight because above the family room is aan attic in the garage eaves. This was a wonderful solution, as the metal tube could go right up through the attic. The diffuser we chose is attractive and it truly illuminates the entire area without draining electricity. The company was just great to work with - very professional and knowledgeable and the whole process took very little time. We were also in the process of completely remodeling our patio and backyard landscaping - a hugely more expensive project and honestly, I'm just delighted with this relatively modest fix. Who would have thought something so simple could make such a difference. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
