I have been Dr. Polon's patient for about 9 years. He has treated me through routine gyn care, a breast lump, and two pregnancies. I have received excellent care from him in every instance. He is a caring doctor with a wonderful bedside manner -- frank and genuine but always warm. Even when he is swamped with patients and laboring moms, he takes the time to listen to concerns and answer questions. And when the going gets tough -- as it did when my baby's heart rate suddenly dropped to an alarmingly low level during birth -- there's nobody better than Dr. Polon. He explained what was happening quickly but thoroughly and gave me and my husband all the info we needed to make a decision. We felt very comfortable with our child's life in his hands. Dr. Polon clearly is a brilliant doctor, but he doesn't exhibit the kind of coldness you sometimes see in a brilliant doctor. My husband and I have made the decision to stay in Austin for a few more years in large part due to Dr. Polon. I wouldn't think of going to another OBGyn as long as there's the possibility of more pregnancies. I highly recommend Dr. Polon.
Pros: everything about the way he practices medicine
