I had dinner at Cool Fish last night and will not be going back. While the meal itself was average, what led me to my decision was the attitude of the hostess. She was aloof and rude in insisting (or should I say DEMANDING) that we leave our jackets at the coat check. When I told her I prefer to take my jacket with me to the table in case I was cold, she replied ""management wants you to check it."" That, to begin with, made me vow never to come back. I am old-fashioned enough to believe that the customer's wishes should always be complied with. The next debacle came when she directed our party to a poorly placed table all the way near the restrooms (keep in mind that it was early (6:30), we had reservations, and the restaurant was completely empty). When we refused to sit there she grudgingly escorted us to another table that really wasn't much better. As far as the food goes, it was adequate, but once again, you received those tiny, ""artfully arranged"" entrees on huge plates. All in all, I would not recommend this place.
Cons: nasty management, crowded seating
