Review content:
Just a week after getting engaged, my fiance and I traveled to Portland to visit his family. We were living in San Francisco at the time but I was so anxious to try on gowns that my fiance's mom and sister took me wedding dress shopping. We chose to make an appointment at Anna's because we'd heard they have a fantastic assortment of dresses for every style and budget. We were not disappointed! Everyone was so helpful and welcoming, despite me telling them I was from out of town, just looking and not intending to order anything that day. Being newly engaged, I wasn't totally sure what I wanted but I did have a small collection of gowns I liked in magazine ads. Anna helped me try on the dresses from the ads but with a little general info from me (indoor or outdoor ceremony? what time of year? time of day?), she also patiently walked me around the store giving me fresh ideas. She asked me what I thought of a dress that was beautifully displayed in the front of the store. It was pretty but I didn't like the neckline so Anna quickly folded here and tucked there, and WALLAH I was looking at my dream gown! I tried it on, my fiance's mom cried, and Anna played with accessories. Once back in San Francisco, I felt I needed to try other dresses to compare before I made this once in a lifetime decision. I went to appointments at three bridal stores but nothing compared to the selection and thoughtful expertise I experienced while finding my dream gown at Anna's! Now happily married and living in Portland, I head to Anna's whenever I have a bridesmaid's dress that needs altering. Anna's in-house alterations team works wonders! Pros: Selection, experience, atmosphere
