Review content:
For a theme-park day that doesn't consume all your energy, sunscreen and dollars, Universal Studios is a good bet. An easier drive than Disneyland or Magic Mountain for most Angelenos, the park has just enough attractions to count for a day of mindless fun and thrills. Lines can be longer than worth it at the bigger attractions (e.g., Terminator 3 and Jurassic Park), but there's plenty enough to do and see in five or six hours. You can extend the day with shopping and entertainment at the adjacent CityWalk.
