Review content:
My wife and I stayed at the Lemp Mansion for my 29th birthday. We had planned a romantic getaway. We booked the Lavender Suite which is the nicest and biggest room in the mansion. When we got to the room the first thing I did was turn on the television. I was SHOCKED to see that they didn't have cable. I don't know if it's me or not, but I expect cable television in a room that I'm being charged $205 a night. I just have to watch Sportscenter before going to bed. We reported the issue to management, but we were brushed off. I think maybe twenty or thirty years ago cable in a room was considered a luxury, but in the 21st century it's not. I was stuck with 7 local channels which all had a lot of static. The room was very clean and came with a little basket of snacks and two small containers of wine. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was nice too! Some advice: The Lavender suite overlooks interstate 55 so there was some highway noise. If noise would be an issue to you I would recommend the Charles Lemp Room which is on the other side of the house and overlooks the garden. The Charles Lemp room doesn't have it's own bathroom though... Pros: Room was clean and nicely decorated. Cons: NO CABLE and some Highway noise.
