Review content:
We moved to Richmond this year and decided to give the smaller, ""mom and pop"" shop refuse service a try. Boy were we mistaken! First of all, the only day we could get service was a Friday which is horrible for going out of town. So we missed a few pick-ups because we weren't in town. Because we missed a few Fridays Zan's took it upon themselves to stop coming to pick up our trash! But aren't we a paying customer??? I then called a few times to remind them to pick it up with no call back even though the Zan's message stated explicitly that everyone gets a call back. Then on a Tuesday the Zan's truck mysteriously appeared to pick up the trash! My last straw was when I called to cancel the service and not only was told that it was my fault that the trash wasn't picked up because I forgot to put the can out but then was hung up on! I have never been treated like this by a business, especially one I was trying to support for being a smaller fish in a big pond.
