I live on a private lane with 10 small houses. We had the sewer line that connects our houses to the city develop a crack and the cit board of health ordered us to have it repaired. We got quotes from several plumbers around 7000-7500 each to install a patch inside the pipe and some wanted to dig up the street for close to 10K. A resident called Roto Rooter and got a quote for under 4700.
