I am writing in regards to my experience with Warner's Outdoor Solution Inc. I received a quote from Nick for installation of a sprinkler system for my lawn. The quote by Nick was for 6 zones and 36 sprinkler heads (24 rotor heads and 12 spray heads.) He indicated that it would be ?plus one or minus one head? when the actual installation happened. To be able to compare apple to apple, I repeatedly asked him how accurate was your estimate and he kept saying that ?plus or minus 1 head?. I went ahead with the work, but in the end the work crew only installed 23 heads (20 rotor heads and 3 spray heads.) I called Ryan Warner, the manager, to clarify why there was a discrepancy in the number of heads they installed versus what they quoted. He indicated that it didn?t matter how many heads were installed as long as the water coverage my lawn.
I was not satisfied with this answer, as it still does not explain the discrepancy between the quote and the actual work. I picked Warner?s because they provided the best quote of the 5 contractors I queried, but I believe I did not receive a truthful quote. I talked to the original salesman Nick again later to try to come to a solution. He also was not able to adequately explain the discrepancy between the quote and the actual install, and he indicated that he would talk to Ryan Warner and then call me back.
It has been 3 weeks since then. I?ve left 2 voice mails, since, and 1 message with Abel (installation crew supervisor), and no one has called me back.
I understand that Warner?s Outdoor Solution Inc has a BBB rating of A+. I would like to alert you that I feel this is not the proper rating for this company.
Update: Long story short. We now settled with $150 off the original quote. AND I'm still not happy with they offered me. Wasting time to deal with these guys.
Pros: No problems with installation crew.
Cons: estimation was too good.
