My husband went there to detox off of pain meds. The next day he tried to transfer to another facility and they wouldn't let him. He said they had him so drugged up all he wanted to do was sleep. He never got my messages when I called and when he was able to use the phone (there is only 1 phone the patients can use) he had a 10 minute limit. Visitation is Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday for 1 hour and its like visiting someone in jail. Having very little contact with him was very hard for the both of us. The detox patients aren't allowed to go to the vending machines but the psychiatric patients are makes no sense. My husband actually said he would rather be in jail he had more rights. They tell you when to eat, sleep, go to class which my husband refused, no cell phone, wallet, shoe strings, belt, took his razor if you want to shave they watch you, have to use their shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, etc and there is absolutely nothing to do besides playing volleyball. This place is for people who are seriously mentally ill not for people who are trying to get clean from drugs, alcohol, etc.. My husband will never go back there he would have never went in the first place if we knew it was like that.
