I'm not sure how or why, but I somehow managed to corrupt all my Windows XP startup files and as a result, my computer started getting stuck when I turned it on. I took it to a local computer repair center and asked them not to wipe my hard drive unless it is ABSOLUTELY necessary. They reinstalled Windows and told me they didn't touch anything on the drive and it should all be there - but it wasn't! What was odd was that my hard drive was still pretty full, but I couldn't find the files anywhere... Weird! It looked like it was all still there, just not accessible. I was kind of scared at this point, and decided it's worth taking it to a data recovery expert. I went with Secure Data Recovery Services and let them have a look. To my immense relief, they were able to find all the missing files and they restored them in a snap! Go with Secure Data Recovery Services, they're good at what they do.
