My experience with LAS was a pleasant one, to say the least. I had new vinyl windows and colonial hurricane shutters installed earlier this month. From the initial consultation to the completed project, the staff at LAS was friendly, knowledgeable, and more than willing to see the job through. I did get several estimates from other companies. As for the windows, LAS was right in the middle pricewise. However, when comparing apples to apples, there was no comparison. The window that they produce is made locally in New Orleans and deisgned for this area. It was much better than the cheapo vinyl windows on the market and stood toe to toe with the high end Pella and Andersen windows. The colonial shutters were surprisingly much less expensive that all of the others, and even better made. The quality of the shutters is wonderful and have definitely added a nice look to my home. Although I havent needed any service, my experience with their office personnel was comforting. Pros: Locally made products, Quality installation, Deeply anchored New Orleans company Cons: Price--but a great overall 'value'
