Review content:
Being new in town I was told to shop at Sandy's for my salt water fish & corals. I was shocked that the man working there gave me the opposite information from what I've known in keeping salt water tanks for over 37 years. He advised me I didn't need the protein skimmer I had, (which I definitely do) how he managed to sway me to products instead of fish and corals I don't remember...they are like good/bad car salesman. I purchased 2 clowns and various coral...they all died. I took water samples back...nothing wrong there. They decided it must be something wrong in my tank however... Decipher that one? Nothing was settled to my complete liking. While I was there I looked around the store. The freshwater fish weren't much better. While I like the bird set up the large bird containment area is disgusting. It is dirty, moldy and smells horrible. There were 2 poor birds siting back on open perching areas and one of them was screaming for attention, to which he was being told to shut up. The small animal container was dirty and the puppy's had pottied in their area and were running around playing in it. You could tell from the smell they had Coccidia. I ask one of the cashiers and she denied it. A few minutes later my friend ask to buy a puppy (out of curiosity) she was told they were on a hold. I wonder why? Finally the 2 girls upfront decided who was gonna clean the mess up...and the unlucky one did it with much distaste. She had a very nasty attitude. My last few minutes in the store went like this...""You ready?"" Yes...""That's $$$$ How you paying for that?"" Debit...""here's your stuff"" mm yeah thanks...where's your manager? ""I don't know, why?"" Never mind...
In final review...I will be looking for a new pet shop because I will never shop again at Sandy's. They are smart mouthed and rude, have a narcissistic attitude and my money spends just fine elsewhere. They need to clean up shop, take care of business and remember it is the customers that pay their checks. I don't know who owns this place but they need a wake up call.
