I didn't use his service, thank god but my neighbor started to. We have oak wilt in our neighborhood and the city arborist is here constantly giving guidelines on cutting. I noticed while he was cutting that he wasn't sealing the cuts nor was he cleaning the blades as the guidelines state. When I asked him about it he immediately became aggressive telling me that it wasn't necessary and to mind my own business. He has been doing this 40 years and there always has to be ""one"" giving problems. I said I have legitimate concerns. It went south
from there.
I stopped talking to him and went to the neighbor. I learn this guy is representing himself as an arborist. All he could do was tell my neighbor that ""your nosy neighbor is causing problems"" The neighbor told him to seal the cuts. The guy had to run to the store because he didnt intend to seal anything! The neighbor stopped the work. City of Austin wants his info for not following CoA guidelines for tree trimming. I provided the info.
Beware if you decide to save some money with this guy. You get what you pay for. In this case even less.
