Review content:
I have shopped at Encore & although the place has potential the owner prevents it from being successful. She tells you that you can pick your things up when the consignment period is over but when you attempt to do that you are met with an all together different attitude. One consigner was asked to quit consigning by the owner because she said it was bad for her business for consigners to be taking their things out of her store for others to see. The poor woman was in tears as she was doing this for her church where the proceeds went to less fortunate people. You can't find your things when you look for them or they are downstairs in their ""Bargain Basement"" where they are no longer yours. Anything that sells from there goes into the owners pocket for her next trip to Vegas. The owner is so tight she typically has one person working, a potential robbing opportunity. Difficult also to get to the bif or eat lunch. The owner is tacky, snippy & has a difficult time keeping good employees because of the way she treats them, it's like a revolving door there. They had a big lawsuit against them because 3 African American men were asked one evening to leave, not knowing they were fashion people in town scouting out the local consignment stores. Is this where you want to do business? Glad to say I am finished there!
