Review content:
I used to work here. See Doggie Day Camp for yourself. To watch what goes on, take Page and turn on RUCKERT RD (it's only on one side of Page.) Doggie Day Camp is on your left and there is a small gravel parking lot. You can see Doggie Day Camp for the large dogs from the road. Or just pull into the parking lot.
For photos of how dogs are treated at KW, go to zootoo dot com and search for Kennelwood. These are photos taken by another former employee.
When you take a tour, you will only see 1 of 3 dog areas that the dogs are housed in. They will tell you that they cannot take you to see the other dog areas for liability reasons. This makes no sense as there are just as many dogs walking around by the dog area they show you as there are by the other dog area.
If you saw the other dog areas, you would see dilapidated kennels that I believe have not be updated since the place opened in 1974. Only the dog area they show you has been updated.
This place reminded me of a bad nursing home where there are patients screaming out for help constantly and no one cares or does anything about it. I couldn't stand being in the dog areas.
It was truly emotionally traumatic working there. I'm so glad I am no longer there, but I feel horrible about what most dogs go through that stay there overnight.
Again, please see for yourself before you board your dog or send him/her to Doggie Day Camp.
Pros: Small Dog Grooming
Cons: Poor Management, Neglect, Incompetence
