Review content:
The store is a bit south of the main Friendship Heights drag, but it's like an old-fashioned emporium--an international one to boot, with foods from Mexico, Germany and Britain. On the top floor are fresh groceries, international foods, and a massive wine selection. If you're buying a case of wine, they have a discount, and if you're trying to figure out what to serve at your dinner party, they offer knowledgeable recommendations. But that's just upstairs. Tucked into a corner is the escalator to magicalness. On the lower level of the store is an impressive array of home wares for any home and any occasion, as well as a full pharmacy. Shoppers will find aisles chock full of luggage, glassware, dishes, soap (plain and fancier kinds, like Pacifica), make up, note cards, microwaves, aprons and wheelchairs.
Pros: they have everything you wanted and didn't know you wanted
