I have been taking my beloved dog to JVAH since getting her as a puppy over 16 years ago. After many phone conversations with Dr. Shawan I decided it was finally time to put her down. He helped me with my decision by listening to me and explaining what many of her actions meant. He assured me that she was ready, but that I had to be ready as well, and was very patient when I would call to postpone the inevitable.
I finally did it, and must say it was an extremely positive experience considering what it was. Dr. Shawan was there for me the whole way, answering any questions I had. He was so gentle with her. I was able to pet her and talk to her through the whole process, and it was like she just went peacefully to sleep.
When the time comes for a new pet, JV Animal Hospital will definitely be where I take them for the loving and compassionate care I know they will receive.
Thank you Dr. Shawan for helping my dog live a long and healthy life, and pass on with dignity and compassion.
