Review content:
We went with Premium Mortgage at the recommendation of our agent. Think carefully when an agent recommends one specific mortgage company--is there an incentive for him to do so? It has been a total nightmare from a contingency we made crystal clear from day one should not be there and being brought to our attention at almost the last minute, trying to convince us we had actually agreed to a higher interest rate, and asking us for documents and then them not even knowing what they are asking for. Finally, being told a week before you are suppose to close, "It is month end and those files closing between now and then have to be worked first. As soon as I can get to your file I will let you know what, if anything, I will need from you. Until your file gets cleared to close, you cannot get a closing date." After it takes them a week to correct the contingency (their mistake) we were supposed to be grateful for the good news that they messed up but corrected it with yet another delay. How about being required to submit documents for closing and they don't even have a clue what the document is so you have to spend hours researching it yourself (basically doing their job for them)? Is there is the way you'd like to buy a house, then they are the mortgage company for you.
