Recently moved out to the island, and all the neighbors said this was the place to go, boy were they right! Fantastic selection, even for old homes ... they have everything. Recently replaced all the electrical in the house and the guys at Karp's were fantastic. They had everything I needed and they were so amazingly helpful. Best of all, as a woman, they treated me just like "one of the guys". They respected that I knew what I was doing! Such a refreshing change from the "women don't belong in hardware stores" attitude I've encountered so often (even at the big retailers!). Next project is plumbing, not my specialty, but the guys at Karp's have already hooked me up with some local contractors who seem to be just right.
