My grandmother who was born in 1880 loved meeting her girlfriends here for lunch! My high school had drama banquets here and my employee has done dinner celebrations as well as the family for special occassions. I thought this was everybody's favorate restaurant! We stop many Sundays after church and have never been disappointed. Whether is was the front room with the family style all you can eat perch (yes, ayce perch is back!) or a lunch special in the coffee shop or meeting with friends in the lounge every meal has been savoured. No one prepares chicken or perch better. And the cole slaw, kidney bean and cottage cheese salad has been duplicated but never better. Our grandchildren are now coming with us. And do not be surprised if someone from the Tiebel family waits on you. We are not the only ones that have been doing this for 75 years. I imagine they will be here another 75 years. Why don't they franchise?
Pros: Great food, fair price and even entertainment at select times.
Cons: Usually full!
