Review content:
I decided to try this location because I go to Westlake a few times a week. I called ahead to see exactly where it was and was given directions. When I got to the shopping center I still had trouble finding the place, but that could have been my fault. When I walked into the store I jokingly told a man named James that I had trouble finding the place even with directions. He rather grouchily told me that he had given me correct directions. So we got started off "on the wrong foot," so to speak. I showed him the two things that I wanted repaired: one was a carry-on travel bag which needed about two inches of stitching on a seam. He said that it would cost $18.95. I told him that that was almost what I had paid for the bag at a discount store. He said something to the effect that I could just buy another one from a discount store and that it would probably rip too. So I decided not to have that repaired. I then showed him a pair of sandals which needed to be glued. The straps had gotten wet and the two layers of leather had pulled apart. To me it seemed to be a simple enough job. He said that it would cost $15.95 for the pair. I expressed surprise that it would cost this much and said I might be able to glue the straps myself. He said in a rather hostile way, "Well in that case I can sell you some glue so that you can do that." I told him that I might have the right kind of glue at home. He never told me to try the store again or wished me luck fixing my items. Another customer then came in so I don't think that he even said goodbye to me. I was really shocked at his rudeness more than at the high prices he quoted. I would just like to say to James: "This is Austin. People are nice and friendly here." Pros: Good location Cons: Bad customer service, inflated repair prices
