Review content:
Yes, it was Christmas Eve. Yes, it was busy. But there is no excuse for a restaurant of Buca di Beppo's rating to treat customers with poor service. From 5:30 to 9:30 with 11 customers seated in our group, we received a total of 2 loaves of bread. It took 40 minutes to get a bottle of wine, 30 minutes for a bar drink. I finally got up and found a hostess to ask if she could find our wait person as we were ready to order. Another person in our party also asked to track down our server later to freshen drinks. The food was average, not special in any way. The manager was very sympathetic and agreed from our conversation with him that there was no excuse for the service. The bill was paid. The person in our party who made the reservation may have been given gift certs for the next visit...after that I doubt we will go back. We use a 3 strike rule and they struck out in one visit.
