My wife and I were married in early to mid April 2010, and chose Mellwood Arts Center, Event Room #3. We paid all fees and deposits required to rent the facility. Our contract said we'd be refunded our deposit in "30 days!" After the 1st week of May, we contacted Scooter Davidson, the Director and manager for Mellwood. Her tone was markedly different from what it had been prior to our event. Before she had been kind, helpful and considerate and allow us additional time to pay deposits and all other associated fees and costs. Worked with us to insure we had everything in place. But this was a different Scooter Davidson. She completely lied and misrepresented the terms of the contract, construing them to mean 30 "business" days, which was completely false! She told my wife they send deposits out between the 20th and 30th of the month. So now it's June 9th, still no deposit refund!

Cons: Scooter Davidson Will Not Return Deposit Money
