Review content:
We had a fantastic experience with Tamalpais hardwood floors. First, we got straight forward advice about flooring selection: Dermot was flexible, but articulated clear opinions. Second, and most importantly, the installation was outstanding. Ours was a difficult install, with very uneven concrete sub-floor. Other installers ran in the other direction, or wanted twice as much to level the sub-floor. Dermot and his team tackled it with gusto, and did absolutely beautiful work. No hollow spots, no detectable dips or mounds, flat! Third, the job was done on time, the work site was left clean and we were able to live in the house w/ very little disruption.
And, finally, we love our floor!!! Dermot recommended Amendoim, which we chose, and it worked perfectly. He did not criticize our initial inclination toward bamboo, but clearly stated his own lack of enthusiasm for it.
Really an impressive job at reasonable price.
