We are foodies and this place is heaven! There is nothing about Southside Cafe that we didn't like. The food is fantastic - lots of choices, excellent preparation, freshest ingredients, phenomenal presentation....all of it was delicious, balanced, exquisite. Very upscale food at a very moderate price. The setting is elegant but comfortable. The waitstaff are welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable about their food. The wine choices are numerous and run the gamut of prices. Be sure to call for reservations, definitely get directions so you don't drive by it, and make sure you get Joe as your waitperson. We're coming back to Asheville just so we can eat at Southside again!
