After checking out a number of florists in Cambridge, we settled on Hallie's Flowers to do all the flowers for our daughter's wedding. From the boutonnieres to the large church arrangements, every single arrangement was different and gorgeous. We told her we wanted something "not too formal", with colors in them, and interesting local flowers. The bridesmaids got deep orange roses with a red tint, snapdragons, some sort of long purple flower, mixed with an assortment of green flowers and berries. Gorgeous. The bride got yellow calla lilies, white orchids (to match Hallie's suggestion for her hair), and even a hydrangea that exactly matched the blue sash on my daughter's dress. Hallie worked with our caterer to make sure that the table arrangements matched the different tablecloth colors in the different rooms. I cannot tell you how happy I was when I walked in to the reception area and saw those tables and those flowers. They took my breath away. She really listened to what my daughter wanted, and came through. Her suggestion for a flower for my daughter's hair that would last 14 hours was perfect. I will also add that I have been in her shop and watched them not only make a beautiful arrangement of various stems for people but gave every small child a single flower wrapped in tissue paper tied with a colored ribbon. They all walked out of the store as if they were little princesses. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and the care with which our wedding flowers were done. I will add that her flowers must be incredibly fresh. I took one of the bridesmais bouquets, dropped it in a paper bag, and literally 24 hours later, cut the ends off and those flowers all perked right back up. It is now 5 days after the wedding and those abused flowers still look great.
