Review content:
I saw Dr. Terino's ad on Facebook and was impressed with his work. I contacted him and he asked me to send pictures of myself so he could tell me how he could improve my look. I mentioned to him that I am HIV+ along with the pictures an never heard back from him again. Two weeks later I called his office and the receptionist looked up my email and told me that it is not possible to put implants in an HIV+ person due to complications that can arise. I mentioned that I am undetectable and very healthy but that didn't make a difference. I still didn't get any response. This is bogus information because I've spoken to other plastic surgeons and they told me that as long as I am healthy and undetectable there is no likelihood of any complications. I cannot believe that in this day and age there is discrimination and ignorance from doctors, especially one that has so many certifications and graduated from an Ivy League school such as Yale. I don't think I would want a doctor that thinks like this to work on me anyway, but I thought I should make others aware of this doctor's demeanor and let you decide if you want someone with this kind thinking to work on you. The receptionist told me he would get back to me in a couple of days and he never got back to me and its been over 3 days now. At this point I don't expect to be contacted by him at all. I felt hurt and it left me feeling discriminated against because of my HIV status.
