Review content:
I stopped in after reading on an "old website" according to someone who works there and was misinformed about the process in which books are bought and sold. I was under the impression as per one of their websites that books could be bought from me and that I had the choice to receive either a quarter of their value or more if I were to choose to keep the dollar amount as in store credit. I first accepted the credit, it sounded wonderful 80+ dollars worth, WOW!
Not really when I stopped to consider their other policy that any used book in the store could be mine for "fifty percent off" since half of the price of the book would be covered with my store credit and the other half I would have to pay in cash. So I essentially "donated" 80+ dollars worth of books only to have to spend another 80+ dollars in cash to recoup my store credit????? I was told that I could not have my books back since they have no idea what I had brought in less than 24 hrs prior????and that they best they could do would be to offer me a donation receipt for tax purposes.
So in the end I did as a matter of fact donate a good amount of impeccable books for their pure profit. I will never be returning too or recommend this store.
I would rather buy the same caliber and condidtion of used books at Sister Carmen, Goodwill or ARC for a fraction of the price and help a cause with a purpose not someone's pocketbook.
